Lioness Season 3 Finale Reveals a Shocking Twist

The third season of the CIA/military series, “Lioness,” created by Taylor Sheridan, surprised fans with its intense conclusion. The season focused on the kidnapping and eventual rescue of Joe, played by Zoe Saldaña. The rescue occurred in episode seven during a violent gunfight, leaving a significant mystery about the mastermind unresolved.

Unveiling the Puppet Master

Throughout the season, viewers speculated that the Russians, Ukrainians, or Iranians could be behind the kidnapping. The truth was revealed in a surprising twist during the season finale. Aaliyah Amrohi, whose father was a target in the first season, orchestrated the operation against Joe as revenge. Her character is set up for future intrigue, as it becomes clear she won’t stop her efforts.

The Unraveling brought intense drama with a restaurant shootout, climaxing Joe’s initial engagement call, which proved to be a strategic error, adding more tension.

Her reappearance ties back to previous plot lines, suggesting that the fourth season will likely conclude the series. The characters’ arcs, especially those of Cruz and Joe, are deeply interconnected with past events.
