On Monday, a man was apprehended after allegedly setting off an incendiary device at a federal building in Lower Manhattan. The incident prompted an investigation by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, according to officials.
The FBI’s New York field office confirmed that an individual had deployed the device and was subsequently taken into custody. The building, known as 26 Federal Plaza, accommodates various federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security.
