Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed recently addressed the turbulent economic environment, focusing on President Donald Trump’s policies. At a rally in Detroit, El-Sayed attributed the global bond sell-off to what he termed as Trump’s “mismanagement.”
El-Sayed argued that the President’s strategic choices, including an ongoing trade war, are inflating costs. This economic pressure, he noted, is leading traders to offload bonds. According to El-Sayed’s statement, Trump is exerting undue pressure on the Federal Reserve, interfering with its operations amidst rising inflation.
The comments from El-Sayed followed a heated exchange in Michigan’s Senate race, further highlighted by Vice President JD Vance intensifying his rhetoric earlier this week.
