Obama Criticizes Trump, Discusses Their Relationship on Podcast

Former President Barack Obama recently shared his thoughts on the administration of President Donald Trump during an appearance on the All the Smoke podcast, hosted by former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Obama humorously claimed to have “a suite” in Trump’s head, referring to what he perceives as the current president’s fixation on him.

Obama suggested that Trump’s preoccupation reflects a lack of focus on his current responsibilities. He stated, “If you’re doing the job right, you’ve got five to ten things that are real hard, and you have to be constantly focused.” Obama emphasized that worrying about predecessors is unproductive and indicates a lack of attention to American interests.

During the conversation, Obama mentioned his interactions with Trump, noting that the president behaves differently in private than in public. “Whoever you were talking about in front of me, which has happened a couple of times, he doesn’t talk like that because he knows better,” Obama said.

Fox News Digital obtained a statement from White House spokesperson Davis Ingle, who described Obama as “one of the most dishonest, divisive, and destructive Presidents in history.” This reflects the critical stance Trump and his administration hold towards Obama.

Previously, Obama admitted in an interview with the New Yorker that he thinks about responding to Trump daily. However, he refrains from direct comments as he considers himself a political leader, not a commentator. “For me to function like Jon Stewart, even once a week, just going off, just ripping what was happening… then I’m not a political leader, I’m a commentator,” he explained.
