A man from Ohio, accused of shoplifting, made a daring escape attempt that involved leaping onto a woman’s moving car on a highway. The incident was captured in dramatic footage.
On July 27, two men were stopped by Miami Township police for allegedly shoplifting at a Kroger store. One of them, identified as Kaamil O’Berry, escaped on foot following the stop, as reported by WKRC. He was seen running onto the I-75 on-ramp, evading the pursuing officers.
As the chase continued, O’Berry ran across a grassy area adjacent to the interstate, accessing the highway where he jumped onto the hood of a car driven by a woman. Despite his presence on the vehicle, she continued driving.
The suspect maintained his grip on the car’s hood, eventually attempting to take control by breaking the windshield. This unfolded on the Ohio interstate, as traffic moved around the chaotic scene.
The police managed to track and arrest O’Berry after he fell from the car. He was taken to a nearby hospital. O’Berry faces charges, including obstructing official business, theft, and aggravated robbery.
David Sutter, who was accompanying O’Berry during the incident, has been charged with complicity to theft.
