David Ellison, Chairman & CEO of Paramount Skydance, appeared on stage during the New York Upfront Partnership Event 2026, held on April 22, 2026, in New York City. Event coverage by Noam Galai for Paramount/Getty Images North America highlighted the occasion.

In related developments, Paramount’s owners have consented to a series of agreements with a coalition of 12 Democratic state attorneys general. These changes address a lawsuit threatening Paramount’s $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, according to an insider. The source, speaking anonymously, mentioned that both parties have not officially disclosed any details.

The understanding requires Paramount to manage Warner Bros. Studios and Paramount Pictures as separate entities, at least temporarily. They are committed to jointly releasing at least 30 films annually, or they will face financial repercussions.

The agreement also includes establishing a board to protect CNN, Warner’s news network, from executive interference with journalistic activities. This provision aligns with the demands of several attorneys general.

This situation is ongoing, with more updates expected in the future.
