Renee Olstead’s Role in Wisconsin State Rep. Francesca Hong’s Campaign

Former child actress and OnlyFans model Renee Olstead, also known as Renee Faust, is reportedly serving as deputy campaign manager for Wisconsin state Rep. Francesca Hong’s gubernatorial campaign. This comes ahead of the upcoming Democratic primary, according to a report by The Heartland Post. Hong, a Democratic socialist, is among the candidates participating in the primary.

Olstead has been involved as a paid campaign operative since January. Her social media bio promotes ‘HONG 4 GOV’ and links to Hong’s voter outreach page. Her account displays images from campaign events, and she has managed logistics for prominent figures like political commentator Hasan Piker, as reported by The Heartland Post.

“Renee Faust is a licensed mental health clinician who has spent her career providing care to trafficking survivors,” the campaign said. “Since joining the campaign in December, she has helped build the largest grassroots campaign in Wisconsin history.”

The campaign did not address specific questions from Fox News Digital regarding Olstead’s official title and responsibilities or her qualifications. They emphasized her contribution to the campaign and criticized criticism from right-wing politicians regarding her role.

Olstead is also known for founding the Coalition for American Sex Workers (CASW – LOCAL 304), advocating for rights and policy changes related to sex work. Last year, Olstead received an official Wisconsin State Assembly citation for her advocacy, presented by Hong and three other state representatives. This recognition also marked her selection as “Penthouse Pet of the Year” in 2024.

Wisconsin Family Action, a conservative group, criticized Olstead’s involvement, stating, “Wisconsinites deserve to have serious people leading the state. It is unbelievable to see that the likely Democratic nominee for governor has an active sex worker leading her campaign.”

Hong has supported legislative efforts to decriminalize prostitution among adults and implement a sex workers’ bill of rights. Additionally, she has previously voiced support for progressive causes, such as abolishing the U.S. Senate and defunding the police, although she has distanced herself from some positions recently.

She faces competition from Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, former Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan, and Democratic state Sen. Kelda Roys in the primary. Recently, Hong clarified her stance on Thanksgiving, declaring it her favorite holiday despite a past controversial post suggesting cancellation.
