Rory McIlroy, already a successful golfer with a career grand slam and over $200 million in earnings, has announced a global partnership with DP World. This collaboration stands out due to a significant perk: enhanced fitness and recovery support at tournaments.
As part of the agreement, DP World will provide McIlroy with two fitness and recovery trailers at each event he participates in across the DP World Tour and PGA Tour. These trailers will be transported to every tournament, ensuring McIlroy has a consistent training environment wherever he competes.
“Rory McIlroy’s season takes him around the world, but his training and recovery environment doesn’t have to change with it,” DP World stated in their announcement. “Using our smart end-to-end global logistics network, we will maintain McIlroy’s personalized fitness and recovery setup throughout his tour.”
This partnership is particularly noteworthy given McIlroy’s limited tournament schedule, yet global presence. He will still compete in various countries and continents each year.
Managing the logistics of sending two trailers around the globe may appear daunting. DP World, however, addressed these logistics challenges directly. Their comprehensive plan covers all aspects, from collection and customs clearance to storage and delivery at each tournament location.
McIlroy is well-known for his dedication to fitness within professional golf, contributing to his reputation as one of the longest hitters in the sport. His commitment to fitness has also kept him largely injury-free since 2017.
In 2026, McIlroy participated in 14 PGA Tour events, including all four major championships. He is scheduled to compete next at the DP World India Championship on October 15, marking his return after nearly a month.
