After over a decade away from live performances, legendary rock band Rush returned to the stage. They began the ‘Fifty Something’ tour on Sunday, June 7, in Los Angeles. This marks their first tour since August 2015.
The band members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are touring together for the first time since the death of their iconic drummer, Neil Peart, in 2020. Anika Nilles, a well-known drummer, is stepping in to fill Peart’s role.

According to Setlist.fm, Rush opened their concert with “Xanadu,” a fan favorite from their 1977 album “A Farewell To Kings.” This was a first for the band, as they had never started a tour with that song.
The setlist included classic hits like “Limelight,” “Freewill,” and “The Spirit of the Radio.” The concert featured two sets. In the second, fans enjoyed several songs from their 1976 album “2112,” including “Overture” and “Grand Finale.” The show concluded with characters from the TV show South Park introducing the final song, “Tom Sawyer,” a crowd favorite.
