Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have put their Los Angeles home on the market. The couple’s Brentwood residence is listed at $10.5 million, represented by Cindy Ambuehl from Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California.
The house, constructed in 2006, includes 7,318 square feet of living space, featuring five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It also offers functional areas such as a chef’s kitchen, dining room, and a living room with seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces.
This home is equipped with a dedicated office and a bonus room. Gellar and Prinze Jr. currently use the bonus room as a playroom for their children. The sale price is set at $10.5 million.
The property’s outdoor features include lush landscaping, a resort-style swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and several lounge areas. Gellar and Prinze Jr. first grew close on the set of the film I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997, beginning their relationship in 2000. They got engaged in April 2001 and married in 2002, celebrating 23 years of marriage by 2025.
In an interview with People magazine in March 2026, Gellar shared a simple marriage secret: “One bedroom, two bathrooms.” According to her, having a second bathroom simply available is more important than being too fancy.
Gellar stepped back from acting after her role in The Crazy Ones due to personal reflections and changes in her life, including the passing of Robin Williams. She recognized the value of time with her children during that period.
Her earlier work included significant roles in All My Children, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Scooby-Doo. She returned to acting with the Netflix movie Do Revenge in 2022 and later appeared in other projects like Wolf Pack and a potential reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer titled Buffy: New Sunnydale.
Despite initial progress, Hulu shelved the reboot. Gellar cited challenges including a key executive’s lack of engagement with the original series. She expressed disappointment about the uphill battle they faced, but noted the significance of Buffy to fans and creators alike.
