Senator Jon Ossoff Criticizes Trump’s Relationship with Aide Natalie Harp

During a rally on Sunday, Senator Jon Ossoff openly criticized President Donald Trump’s conduct, particularly his close association with aide Natalie Harp. Ossoff argued that Trump prioritized traveling with Harp over fulfilling presidential duties.

The Democratic Senator highlighted the extended deployments faced by U.S. Navy sailors on aircraft carriers this year. He launched a strong critique of Trump’s actions, stating, “While the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he exhausts our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through meetings.” He further accused Trump of spending time golfing and trading stocks instead of concentrating on national responsibilities.

Ossoff also referenced Trump’s activities, claiming he desires to “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie to their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”

Natalie Harp, 35, was among the few aides who accompanied Trump in a recent plane-swap due to a potential threat from an Iranian missile attack. This trip notably excluded Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and the White House press pool. Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp, criticized the relationship, describing it as “very unhealthy” and mentioned that she frequently left admiring notes for Trump.

Newsweek sought comments from the White House by email early Monday, outside standard working hours. This story is developing, and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
