Spencer Pratt, a former reality TV star turned politician, conceded his run for Los Angeles mayor in a recent social media video. Despite finishing third in the primary, he made it clear that his fight against what he called a ‘corrupt machine’ would continue.
Pratt, running as a Republican, received about a quarter of the votes. The Associated Press announced that Democratic candidates Mayor Karen Bass and Councilwoman Nithya Raman would advance to the runoff election in November.
Former President Trump claimed the election results signaled fraud, noting Pratt’s fall from second to third place as votes were counted. Despite these claims, Pratt did not accuse anyone of election fraud in his video. Instead, he declared his campaign was winding down, but his criticisms of his opponents, Bass and Raman, would persist.
In his video, Pratt criticized the two Democrats, calling the choice between them “dumb and dumber.” The video featured insults and dystopian imagery, his frustration evident in both his tone and choice of visuals.
Pratt emphasized that his goal was not political power but to reveal corruption in the system. “I don’t have campaign laws hamstringing me now,” he stated, declaring his intent to continue his war against the establishment.
