Madison Alworth reports from Fanatics Fest in New York City, where the event attracts both athletes and fans. Notable figures such as Serena Williams and David Beckham make appearances, drawing an anticipated crowd of 200,000 over four days, marking growth since 2022.
On the first day of the festival held at the Javits Center, a standout moment involved Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and 500 gallons of Raising Cane’s sauce in a dunk tank. Brady, known for his precision with a football, did not miss the target, sending Gronkowski into the sauce. This event kicked off Fanatics Fest with much excitement.
In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Todd Graves, owner of Raising Cane’s, explained how the dunk tank came to be. Collaborating with Fanatics Fest, they created the idea with Michael Ratner of OBB Media, resulting in Brady dunking Gronkowski. Graves expressed enthusiasm, noting that it became a significant moment for Cane’s.
The dunk tank event, featuring a football throw from Brady that led to Gronkowski’s splash into the sauce, thrilled fans. Brady playfully aimed initially, then successfully hit the target, causing an explosion of sauce.
Graves expressed his gratitude to both athletes for participating in the memorable occasion. He reflected on his company’s growth, now with 100,000 crew members, 1,000 locations, and approaching 30 years in business. Seeing the Cane’s logo and the enthusiasm from fans was a dream realized for Graves.
Fanatics Fest continues to be a popular gathering, showcasing a blend of sports and entertainment while creating memorable experiences for attendees.
