Steve Hilton, a candidate for governor in California, recently appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ to address the state’s worsening issues of homelessness and drug abuse. He expressed concern over a possible takeover by the Democratic Socialists of America and criticized his opponent, Xavier Becerra. Hilton emphasized that the present policies are ineffective for California residents and urged significant reforms in state leadership as the election approaches.
The California Post has expressed support for Hilton’s gubernatorial run. He has launched a striking and daring campaign, presenting fresh ideas that many, including some Democrats, have found appealing. His policy includes allowing Californians to pay no tax on incomes up to $150,000.

Hilton has proposed reducing fuel costs by eliminating high gas taxes along with expensive ‘green energy’ policies that burden household budgets without contributing to environmental improvement. Regarding housing, Hilton advocates for expanding single-family homes instead of constructing unattractive high-rises.

He has also openly addressed the transgender issue, supporting girls’ sports rights and parental rights concerning their children’s welfare. Hilton’s campaign has seen him witness the impacts of years of flawed policies firsthand by visiting areas heavily affected by homelessness and drug issues such as Skid Row and ‘fentanyl alley.’
In contrast, Hilton’s opponent, Xavier Becerra, a Democrat, wasn’t the favored choice during the primary election. Even members of the Obama administration displayed surprise at his advance to the general election. Notably, Susan Rice, a trusted advisor to Obama, referred to Becerra in unfavorable terms.
Becerra is viewed as lacking substantial accomplishments throughout his political career. He held a congressional position without significant achievements, later becoming California’s Attorney General after Kamala Harris, despite inactivity in his law career. His role as Biden’s Health and Human Services Secretary revealed little success.
As California faces critical challenges, the urgency for change grows. Despite being the world’s fourth-largest economy, the state also tops national poverty and homelessness statistics. Businesses are steadily exiting California, taking job opportunities elsewhere, notably in Hollywood.
For over a decade, Democrats have dominated California politics with undesirable results. Mismanagement led to widespread devastation in urban settings, escalating socialist influence intentions.
Environmental issues remain unchecked, as politicians overlook vast wildfire destruction that nullifies emissions progress, burdening numerous homeowners. Fraud is widely believed to plague governmental programs as financial mismanagement persists.
In responses to policy failures evident in infrastructure decline, educational system inefficacy, and inadequate action from politicians in Sacramento, Hilton stresses that voters can drive change this election season.
