A teenager allegedly breached the perimeter of Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire after a police chase, crashing into a parked plane and nearby tractor. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, according to New Hampshire State Police (NHSP).
Authorities identified the suspect as Wyatt Seely, 17, from Rochester. Reports say he was found intoxicated after the crash. The pursuit started as officials were looking for a vehicle connected to crimes in other local areas.
Details of the Incident
NHSP reported that the chase began when a trooper attempted to stop a black 2008 Ford Mustang on Durham Street in Portsmouth. The vehicle fled the scene without its lights on and crashed through the airport’s perimeter fence, crossing an aircraft parking apron.
The Mustang struck a Kubota tractor and a small, stationary plane before coming to a stop.
Seely was apprehended by state troopers and taken to a local hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported among others involved.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
The teenager faces multiple charges, including misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated (DWI), aggravated DWI, disobeying a police officer, and conduct after an accident. He also faces a violation-level charge for reckless driving. Seely’s arraignment is scheduled for September 2026 at Portsmouth District Court.
