HOUSTON – This week, during the biennial state Republican convention, hundreds of attendees gathered in a packed ballroom. Many opted to sit on the floor or stand at the back to attend a highly popular panel titled ‘Don’t sharia my Texas.’
The event took place at the downtown Houston convention center. Participants, including Republicans from Rockwall County in North Texas, recited the Texas pledge during the gathering. These conventions often serve as platforms for Texas to introduce proposed legislation, which frequently influences other conservative states or becomes part of the national agenda for candidates.
