TNA Introduces Knockouts Television Championship at Slammiversary

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) announced the creation of the Knockouts Television Championship on Sunday at the Slammiversary event in Boston. This new championship was introduced by TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks following Elayna Black’s victory over Indi Hartwell and Mara Sadè during the pre-show festivities.

“The TNA Knockouts, over two decades, have changed the landscape of pro wrestling,” said Brooks. “The TNA Knockouts started the women’s revolution. We shattered glass ceilings. We rewrote the rules. We created opportunities and consistently proved our place on the biggest stage. And now, it’s time to make history once again.”

Brooks revealed that a 16-woman tournament will kick off on Thursday night. The tournament aims to crown the inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion. The championship belt boasts the letters “KO” and “TV” in purple and black lettering.

Details about the tournament participants have yet to be disclosed. Black, Hartwell, and Sadè may potentially compete, starting on the “Impact” program.

“This championship will be defended exclusively on ‘Impact’ television,” Brooks added. “To my knockouts, it’s an opportunity once again to prove that you are the greatest women’s division in professional wrestling. Ladies, let’s make history.”

TNA currently holds six active championships. The addition of the Knockouts TV Championship marks its seventh. This development is part of TNA’s efforts to enhance the visibility and importance of women’s wrestling within the industry.
