Trump and Cohen’s Unexpected Reunion

President Donald Trump reunited with his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, during a Thursday radio interview. This unanticipated event marks a surprising chapter of ‘forgiveness’ in their long-standing conflict. Cohen shared with Fox News Digital that the discussion, which lasted 40 minutes, will be broadcast in two parts. Cohen, once a crucial witness in two New York cases against Trump, detailed the reunion in a Substack post. This marks their first public conversation in nearly ten years.

Cohen revealed that the announcement of Trump’s appearance on his radio show led to an onslaught of hate mail. Critics, often displaying Christian beliefs in their social media profiles, were vocal. Cohen expressed the irony of the situation, quoting Colossians 3:13 on forgiveness as central to his reconciliation with Trump.

Earlier this year, Cohen stated he felt pressured by New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to testify against Trump. In his recent entry, Cohen answered questions about how he and Trump overcame their public disputes, stating that forgiveness requires courage, not forgetting the past but choosing not to let it control the future.

Cohen, who pleaded guilty in 2018 to several charges, including lying to Congress, served three years in prison before home confinement. A regular on liberal news channels during his dispute with Trump, Cohen wrote about society’s addiction to ‘permanent outrage’ and emphasized the importance of moving beyond hate. He reflected on his 15-year relationship with Trump, acknowledging both successes and setbacks.

Despite their fallout, Cohen and Trump have chosen to reconcile, emphasizing that reconciliation does not mean altering history. Cohen urged others to listen with an open mind, recognizing that history is sometimes made in unexpected ways, beyond political battles.

The first part of their interview airs on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET on 77WABC, with availability on WABC Radio’s platforms. The second part will broadcast on Cohen’s program “When You Know… You Know” on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET. The White House had no immediate response to comments on the interview.
