A shooting at a gay bar in Tucson, Arizona, is under investigation as a hate crime. Authorities revealed the suspect carried a note listing several LGBTQIA+ associated businesses.
The suspect, Ousman Ceesay, 44, shot two people in the parking lot of Venture-N shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Monday, according to the Tucson Police Department.
Responding officers discovered all three men with gunshot wounds. The victims, Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33, both died at the scene.
Ceesay was taken to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Police said evidence suggests Ceesay confronted the victims in the parking lot before the shooting.
There is no known ongoing threat to the community. The police department has increased its presence around other LGBTQIA+ businesses in the area.
The investigation continues.
