U.S. To Use European Facilities for Ebola Treatment

The U.S. military is constructing a field hospital in central Kenya intended for Americans exposed to Ebola. This facility, with a capacity of 50 patients, is set to be operational by Friday, according to administration officials.

There is a decision against transferring Ebola-infected Americans to the United States for medical care. Instead, if needed, patients would be sent to European facilities. This approach has drawn criticism from experts specializing in Ebola treatment.

In recent events, representatives of Doctors Without Borders were seen setting up protective equipment, including suits and face shields, near a hospital in Mongbwalu, Democratic Republic of Congo. These steps are part of the ongoing efforts to respond to the Ebola outbreak in the region.
