Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded First Lady Melania Trump the Order of Princess Olga. This recognition highlights her humanitarian support for Ukraine.
The decree, published on Monday, commends Melania Trump for her significant personal contributions. She has actively engaged in human rights and charitable initiatives aimed at aiding Ukrainian children and citizens. These efforts focus particularly on those impacted by Russian aggression, including individuals illegally deported and those forcibly displaced from Ukrainian regions temporarily occupied by Russian forces.
Melania Trump received the award in the 1st degree, the highest level among three possible distinctions. Established in 1997, this award honors women’s contributions to Ukraine.
Ukrainian officials noted her role in facilitating a six-day ceasefire. This effort allowed for the evacuation of civilians from Oleshky, a town under Russian occupation, and concluded last weekend.
This is a developing story – more updates will follow.
