Unexpected Encounter with a Mountain Lion in Pasadena

Dealing with unexpected situations can be alarming, especially when they involve finding unusual items. For Bill Dabney of Pasadena, the discovery of animal droppings on his guest house roof led to a surprising wildlife encounter.

Dabney noticed something unusual when he looked up and saw what appeared to be four separate stools on the roof. He recounted the odd discovery to KABC-TV, wondering if they signaled some sort of impending event.

“I looked up, and I saw poop on the roof. It was like four separate stools,” he said.

His curiosity soon turned to concern when he spotted a mountain lion looking directly at him. This encounter suggested the stools on the roof were connected to the big cat’s presence. Dabney described the mountain lion as poised to spring, prompting him to quickly leave the area.

Unfortunately, Dabney’s guest house wasn’t the only roof to experience such visits. Another mountain lion was spotted days later, though reports indicate no additional rooftops were involved in similar incidents.

Reports of mountain lion sightings are not uncommon, but this situation highlights the unexpected ways wildlife can interact with urban environments. It’s unclear if the subsequent sighting was the same mountain lion, but locals will likely remain vigilant.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of being aware of wildlife even in residential areas.
