Will Levis, the Tennessee Titans quarterback, has not taken a competitive football snap since January 2025. Despite his absence from the field and questions surrounding his health and current situation in Nashville, his confidence remains unshaken. Levis will likely start the year as the third-string quarterback for the Titans. Cam Ward, a former first-overall pick, enters his second year as QB1, but Levis embraces the challenge of reclaiming a starting role in the NFL.
In a conversation with reporters in Music City, Levis expressed his belief in his abilities. There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me. I know that for sure,
said Levis, who has started 21 games for the Titans. I know I’ve put the tape out there already that I’m a dang good quarterback in this league.
Levis’ confidence might face scrutiny, as his record as a starting quarterback stands at 5-16. His stats include 21 touchdowns, 16 interceptions, and 17 fumbles. Still, he remains focused on preparing for any opportunities that arise. I’m not worried about the competition per se or the amount of opportunities that they’re going to give me,
he continued. I just got to make sure that I’m ready for when they are given to me and just preparing to be the best at that as possible.
The former Kentucky star has faced challenges during his career, with the Titans’ roster not always providing ample support. Levis underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in July 2025, spending the year on injured reserve. As he approaches free agency at the end of the 2026 NFL season, he faces competition for the backup role against veteran Mitchell Trubisky with the season approaching.
While Levis’ belief in being a top 32 quarterback may seem bold, especially in light of his current QB3 status during training camp, his determination and self-belief remain strong.
