William Faber, like any young child, celebrated his birthday. But as he learned the significance of his Sept. 11 birthday around age 10, he decided to serve others instead of celebrating himself.
Faber’s story is highlighted in a new Fox Nation special, featuring Americans born on Sept. 11, 2001, who have turned 25 years old. Approximately 13,000 babies were born in the U.S. that day. This was mentioned on ‘Outnumbered’ by anchor Faulkner.
Faber shared that his parents initially protected him from the tragic events of that day. ‘My parents wanted to protect my feelings and ensure my birthday was a joyful occasion,’ Faber said. Once informed about 9/11 at age 10, he chose not to celebrate on that day any longer.
Faber’s decision to assist others came from respect for a family friend and countless victims who lost their lives in the attacks. ‘I want to volunteer and give back on that day. I’d rather help the community than celebrate,’ Faber explained.
His commitment to community service is showcased in Fox Nation’s new special. This story is one of many that reflect the lives of those who turned 25 and the choices they made concerning their unique birthday.
