CNN Host Discusses Jill Biden’s Concerns During Debate

CNN host Jake Tapper recently discussed former First Lady Jill Biden’s reaction to a 2024 debate involving her husband, then-President Joe Biden. Tapper posted a video on Instagram where he noted that Jill Biden did not display any signs of concern after the debate, despite later revealing her fear that Biden might have been having a stroke on stage.

In a new interview, Jill Biden expressed her fears during the debate, which sparked criticism and debate among both Democrats and Republicans. Tapper, who co-moderated the debate with CNN’s Dana Bash, confirmed that the Bidens did not seem distressed when speaking with the moderators afterward. He said, “They made polite chitchat. She certainly didn’t act like somebody who was worried.”

The video begins with Tapper outlining Democrats’ reactions to Jill Biden’s admission about her husband’s performance being concerning enough for her to fear a stroke. Social media also reacted strongly to her comments, with widespread discussions about the event.

Jill Biden recounted to CBS her feelings during the debate, noting her husband’s performance with halting answers and blank looks. She stated, “I thought, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke,’ and it scared me to death.” However, she maintained a pleasant demeanor afterward, accompanying Biden to a local Waffle House and participating in the after-party with a positive attitude.

CNN host Abby Phillip criticized the Democratic Party following Jill Biden’s admission. She highlighted the importance of transparency, questioning the political system’s willingness to cover up concerns and deceive the public.

Journalist Hanna Panreck contributed to the coverage on Fox News by noting that Tapper co-authored a book named “Original Sin.” The book examines the concealment of President Biden’s mental decline, which ultimately led to Kamala Harris replacing him on the 2024 Democratic ticket.
