Rod Stewart has postponed more concerts based on his doctor’s advice. He needs to rest his voice to recover from vocal issues.
Stewart is rescheduling his June 15 and 16 concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, to September 2 and 3, 2027. The venue shared the announcement on their social media platforms.
Following examinations at Colorado Voice Clinic this afternoon, Dr. David Opperman has prescribed vocal rest for Rod Stewart. Evaluation revealed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal folds, making it impossible for him to safely perform without the risk of further injury and potential long-term damage to his voice.
The post also mentions, “Rod is deeply disappointed and sincerely apologizes to his fans for this inconvenience. He looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as he is medically cleared.”
For some fans, the timing of the announcement was unfortunate, as it happened close to showtime. One fan expressed frustration saying, “Why wait an hour before the show? Bartenders and other staff had been called off hours ago? Unacceptable,” on X.
This isn’t Stewart’s first cancellation. On Friday, April 12, he canceled a San Diego show due to an acute upper respiratory infection that led to laryngitis.
Stewart’s upcoming concert on June 19 in West Valley City, Utah, is still scheduled, but ticket holders should stay informed for any updates. Hopefully, his voice recovers fully, allowing him to return to performing soon.
