Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion, is reportedly in discussions with WWE about potentially participating in professional wrestling. TMZ Sports shared on Monday that there have been ongoing talks between Brady and the wrestling company.
The news comes amidst notable incidents involving Logan Paul, a current WWE member, and Brady at various events. Both athletes appeared on stage together at last week’s Fanatics Fest NYC, where Brady slapped Paul. This surprised New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns, who attended the event and later made his WWE debut at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in NYC.
Brady also gained attention at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final between Argentina and Spain. A video showed Brady flipping off Paul in the stands, to which Paul responded in kind. Someone nearby remarked, “Keep my guys apart here.”
While Brady has not competed in a WWE match, several NFL players have transitioned to the wrestling ring. Pat McAfee, a former Indianapolis Colts kicker, is among them. Brady’s former teammate Rob Gronkowski had significant involvement with WWE, including a cameo at WrestleMania 33 in 2017. Gronkowski helped his friend Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and in 2020, he hosted WrestleMania 36 and won the WWE 24/7 Championship.
Although nothing is confirmed, Brady may participate in a major WWE event soon. Since retiring from the NFL, he’s been working as an analyst and commentator for Fox Sports and is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Ari Emanuel, the CEO and Chair of TKO, the parent company of WWE, also has ownership in the Raiders.
Speculation is rife about Brady possibly facing Logan Paul at WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, next year. This WrestleMania will be WWE’s first outside the U.S., potentially making Brady’s involvement a huge draw for fans. Given his age and lack of wrestling experience, he may instead play a ringside role while another wrestler takes on Paul.
The slap incident at Fanatics Fest hints at something more significant in the works. Prior plans had Brady participating in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia, but the event was moved to California. During this, there was a feud between Paul and Brady, adding to the speculation of a wrestling face-off.
