Dan Orlovsky Mourns Loss of Brother-in-Law Federico Lascano

ESPN NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky has announced the unexpected death of his brother-in-law, Federico Lascano, who passed away at the age of 43. Lascano, married to Orlovsky’s sister Christine, died suddenly over the weekend.

Orlovsky described the event as an “unimaginable tragedy” in a social media post where he shared information about a GoFundMe campaign. “There are no words to describe the heartbreak of losing a husband, partner, and father so suddenly,” he wrote on social media platform X. He also mentioned the challenges his sister now faces as a solo parent and sole income provider, helping her sons cope with the loss of their father.

The GoFundMe campaign was created to support the family’s “everyday living expenses, bills, and groceries” while giving them the time to grieve. It also aims to assist Christine in transitioning to life without their primary financial provider and to cover the boys’ educational costs and essential life expenses.

Orlovsky emphasized, “No family should have to face this kind of heartbreak, and no one should have to worry about how they will manage financially while trying to put the pieces of their lives back together.” At the time of writing, the campaign had raised over $84,000, with contributions from notable figures such as Andrew Whitworth, Diana Taurasi, Chris Mara, Jason McCourty, and Brian Flores.

The couple had been together since their college days. Currently, Orlovsky continues his broadcasting career, having appeared on “NFL Live” following the news of Lascano’s passing. The cause of Lascano’s death remains unknown.
