A new video has surfaced, revealing the last known moments of a missing woman from North Carolina. Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, aged 43, disappeared on July 22 while on holiday in Grenada. She was last seen on Grand Anse Beach.
The video, shared by Waddell’s family on YouTube, may contain her final known activities. It shows a person, believed to be Waddell, walking near a pool with a towel, progressing to the water, and then seemingly diving in for a swim. This footage reportedly originates from an Airbnb property’s surveillance cameras.
Liz was a physical therapist from Cary, North Carolina, on a three-week vacation with a friend. She vanished soon after going for a swim as per the police reports.
The search for Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, a North Carolina physical therapist who disappeared during her Caribbean getaway, has intensified.
Cailen Waddell, Liz’s husband, has been actively involved in the search since his arrival in Grenada, two days post her disappearance. He issued a statement expressing that extensive efforts have not led to any conclusive findings so far. After consultations with various parties, including the U.S. Embassy and local authorities, he concurs that no foul play is suspected.
The Royal Grenada Police Force, led by Commissioner Randy Connaught, addressed the press on Wednesday. They have refrained from any definitive conclusions concerning Waddell’s disappearance. The ongoing investigation includes the deployment of dive teams, drones, and dogs to trace any leads related to her whereabouts.
The police emphasize they are actively pursuing various lines of inquiry and urge anyone with potential information to come forward to support the investigation.
