Over a span of one week, transcripts reveal Harp’s name was mentioned a significant number of times: 308 times by CNN and 344 by MS NOW. This intense coverage persisted, with CNN increasing mentions to 318, while MS NOW surpassed 400. The networks detailed Harp’s unwavering loyalty to Trump and her involvement in his secret plane departure from Turkey.
Controversy arose as MS NOW highlighted Harp’s lack of security clearance despite her proximity to Trump. CNN scrutinized Harp’s fervent support for Trump, citing past social media activity. One report suggested she forced her way into a trunk during Trump’s court appearance due to limited space.
CNN drew conservative criticism for interviewing Harp’s estranged brother, Preston Harp. Additionally, the White House criticized CNN correspondent Kristen Holmes for querying Trump about Ossoff’s comments. CNN defended Holmes, condemning the attacks as inappropriate.
