Authorities reported that police responded to a 911 call regarding a possible break-in at a home on Snyder Road just after midnight. Upon arriving, officers discovered a man behind the house and an encounter ensued. Pysher was subsequently shot and killed by police.
Mother’s Perspective
Erin Pysher, the victim’s mother, stated her son mistakenly went to the wrong backyard, believing it belonged to a friend. She revealed he was on the phone with friends for a brief time before being shot. Erin argued, “It’s a small little error that it cost him his life. It should’ve never happened.” She expressed that authorities should not have used such force, emphasizing that her son was unarmed and not acting dangerously.
Pysher’s Background
Pysher had been a baseball player at Northampton County Community College. He recently transferred to St. Elizabeth College in New Jersey, intending to play baseball and study to be a history teacher. His mother noted, “He just turned 22 on the 10th. He just had a birthday he was supposed to start school and go to college. He was supposed to play baseball and live his life and it was cut short.”
