Christie Brinkley, aged 72, demonstrated the strength of her genetics alongside her 28-year-old daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook, during a recent outing. The mother-daughter duo attended John Mayer’s live performance for SiriusXM in New York on August 26, leaving attendees in awe of their similar appearance.

On the red carpet, Cook opted for a denim on denim ensemble, wearing jeans, a denim jacket, and a black tank top that revealed her midriff. Brinkley complemented her daughter’s denim look by donning jeans paired with a loose black tank top featuring lace designs and sheer cutouts, completed with a green jacket. Their striking resemblance led many to mistake them for twins.

Fans on Instagram reacted with amazement after Hello! Magazine shared footage of Brinkley and Cook smiling and engaging with the crowd during the event. Comments from fans reflected disbelief at Brinkley’s youthful appearance, with remarks such as “Wow no way can Christie be 72 more like 22😍,” and “Two beauties ❤️.”

Brinkley recently shared promotional photos for her new zero-sugar prosecco line on Instagram, where fans further mistook her for her daughter. In these images, Brinkley posed beside a vintage truck wearing a navy blue long-sleeved top and matching high-waisted shorts, highlighting her toned legs. Comments included, “I thought you were your daughter for a second!” and “Please dear lord let me age like @christiebrinkley.”

In an interesting revelation last year, Brinkley discussed her dating experiences on Kristin Davis’ “Are You a Charlotte?” podcast. Despite her 44-year age difference with her daughter, Brinkley shared that they matched with the same men on dating apps. Cook had signed her mother up for a dating app without prior notice, leading to surprising results. “[Sailor] said, ‘Mom, you’re right not to go on [dating apps] because the same guys that said yes to me are saying yes to you,’” Brinkley explained.

Reflecting on her experiences in relationships after four marriages, Brinkley shared with Davis insights she gained over the years. She noted men often seek individuals who express excitement over their actions and choices: “I find that what men like to do is sort of be able to find somebody… that’ll be impressed by every little thing that they do,” she said.
