Kevin Warsh has expressed a desire to serve as a Federal Reserve chair who chooses his words sparingly. He has emphasized that the central bank should reduce the amount of “forward guidance” that it provides concerning interest rates compared to recent years.
Warsh advocates that Federal Reserve policymakers should decrease the frequency of their public speeches and possibly reduce the number of meetings they conduct. He also proposes that the institution should own fewer assets, aiming to minimize its influence on the economy.
