Maren Morris’ Healing Journey and Career Reflections

Maren Morris, the 36-year-old country singer, recently shared photos from her healing journey on Instagram. During a trip to Bali, she mentioned to her followers that while she is ‘not healed but healing.’ Her post included images from a wellness trip, organized with help from friends including @rachelbeauregard and @hotyogaeastnashville. ‘And it’s not over yet :)’ she added in her caption.

In one of the shared photos, Morris showcased her toned abs in a black string bikini as she stood on a deck holding a drink. Other images highlighted moments like participating in a group meditation, enjoying a waterfall, and having fun with friends. Fans reacted positively, with comments praising her journey and progress.

Morris first became well-known after releasing her hit song ‘My Church’ in 2016. This success led to her debut album ‘Hero,’ which featured songs such as ’80’s Mercedes,’ ‘I Could Use a Love Song,’ and ‘Rich.’ Since then, she has produced four studio albums, including ‘D R E A M S I C L E,’ ‘Humble Quest,’ and ‘Girl.’ Her achievements include receiving 17 Grammy Award nominations, with one win to her credit.

Although specifics of her current healing process are not clear, Morris previously discussed her personal struggles. In August 2025, while promoting ‘D R E A M S I C L E,’ she addressed the album’s personal nature. It dealt with themes such as her sexuality and the aftermath of her divorce from Ryan Hurd. She noted that sharing her vulnerabilities has been significant, particularly when audiences respond positively to her music.

Morris acknowledged that award shows have become ‘dicey’ and has chosen to attend fewer of them, citing shifts in the country music scene and the political climate as reasons. In January, she shared on TikTok that her mental health has been affected by the industry’s status quo. Despite losing some fans over her views, Morris maintains that it’s fair for fans to choose whether to enjoy her music based on her perspectives.

Last year, Morris faced criticism for taking her young son to a drag show, which she later defended as ‘family-friendly’ during an appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.’ She explained her view of drag shows as an artistic expression, emphasizing the importance of normalizing such environments.
