Chris Hansen recently joined Tyrus on Planet Tyrus to discuss the new film Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson. The film draws inspiration from Hansen’s well-known predator investigations. However, Hansen stated he was not consulted during the making of the movie and expressed strong disapproval of its portrayal.
Hansen described the film’s depiction as a dark, fictionalized version of real events. He argued that the true story of his investigations was already dramatic enough and criticized Hollywood for misrepresenting it. In response, Hansen plans to convey his own message directly to audiences.
His team has purchased 30-second advertisements that will play before Primetime screenings in thousands of theaters. These ads will feature Hansen’s well-known line, “Have a seat.” This move represents Hansen’s effort to address what he sees as an inaccurate portrayal of his work.
