Sex Offender Arrests in Indiana Include Illegal Immigrants

Four of the 11 individuals arrested in a police sting operation in Indiana are illegal immigrants, as confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security. The suspects allegedly believed they were communicating with underage girls online and traveled to meet them for intended sexual encounters. Instead, undercover detectives awaited them.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has requested detainers for the four suspects. The individuals identified are:

  • El Hadji Babacar Ndiaye: A citizen of Senegal, apprehended and released at the southern border in Lukeville, Arizona, in September 2023.
  • Lucky Philip Udoudo: A Nigerian national who entered the U.S. as a gotaway at an unspecified time and place.
  • Filomeno Ricardo Flores Marin: A Mexican citizen who crossed into the U.S. illegally in 2002 through Arizona.
  • David Josue Gomez-Posada: A Salvadoran citizen who entered the U.S. illegally in 2017 as a juvenile.

ICE has emphasized the need for Indiana to comply with immigration detainers, underscoring that the detained individuals will undergo due process before an immigration judge. The administration has reaffirmed its commitment to the rule of law.

Marin faces multiple charges, including two counts of sex offenses, molestation of a minor, and enticement for indecent purposes. His history includes an arrest for stolen property and a previous ICE detention in January 2019 during a DEA operation in Indianapolis. He was released on bond in March 2019.

Udoudo is charged with child solicitation and sexual misconduct with a minor. Gomez-Posada and Ndiaye face charges of child solicitation.

DHS emphasizes the consequences for breaking U.S. law, noting that seven of the top 10 safest U.S. cities cooperate with ICE. They highlight the importance of law enforcement partnerships in crime reduction and the arrest of illegal immigrants.

Recent figures include over 40,000 arrests in Florida and a two-week operation in West Virginia leading to 650 arrests of illegal immigrants.
