Mickie James, a legend in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), is set to appear at Bound for Glory next weekend. TNA’s biggest show of the year featured a tantalizing vignette during “Impact” on Thursday. An older logo on a crate was shown, which opened to a strong beam of light. When the light faded, a white cowgirl hat and a denim jacket were revealed. A woman then took the hat and placed it on her head, signaling James’ return.
James, renowned for her “Hardcore Country” entrance theme, is recognized by fans instantly. Her tenure with TNA dates back to 2002 under the National Wrestling Alliance banner. After a year, she moved to WWE, only to return to TNA in 2010 for a high-profile feud with Madison Rayne. She emerged victorious in April 2011, clinching the TNA Knockouts Championship, making her the first woman to hold TNA Knockouts, WWE Women’s, and WWE Divas Championships. James is a five-time Knockouts champion and was with TNA from 2021 to 2023, battling Elegance Brand at No Surrender earlier this year.

Her status as a TNA Hall of Famer was cemented last year. James’ participation is among several highlights set for Bound for Glory on Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

- A six-way scramble for the vacant TNA X Division Championship with Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Ryan Nemeth, and BDE.
- A Knockouts Championship match between Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell.
- A four-way match for the TNA International Championship among Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Special Agent Zero.
- Nic Nemeth defending the TNA World Championship against Leon Slater.
Other matches include Ricky Sosa against Eddie Edwards, Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw versus The Hardys in a Falls Count Anywhere match, and a Call Your Shot Gauntlet, with the winner earning a future championship match.
