On Sunday night, Selma Blair reportedly experienced a violent episode during a Delta Airlines flight. The ‘Cruel Intentions’ actress was taken into custody and hospitalized for evaluation after allegedly assaulting flight staff. The New York Port Authority reported the incident.
The Port Authority Police Department received a call around 11 p.m. when the flight from Los Angeles International Airport arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Two flight attendants required medical assistance following an alleged in-flight altercation. Additionally, one flight attendant needed further evaluation at a hospital.
The FBI has initiated an investigation into the matter. Representatives for Blair stated that she faced a medical emergency, prompting the alleged behavior. Upon the flight’s landing, she received immediate medical treatment and is now in stable condition.
TMZ obtained dispatch audio indicating a flight attendant suffered a bloody nose, and Blair allegedly hit her head on an overhead compartment. Delta’s spokesperson emphasized the airline’s zero tolerance for unruly or illegal behavior, highlighting their commitment to the safety of passengers and crew.
This recent incident is reminiscent of a 2016 occurrence involving Blair. Then, she was hospitalized following a flight from Cancun, Mexico, to Los Angeles. She later apologized, attributing her behavior to mixing alcohol with medication, which led to a blackout and actions she regretted.
