I am the parent of a typical 15-year-old daughter. She means the world to me, and I strive to support her in every way possible. In return, I often receive the cold responses typical of teenagers. Usually, I can manage it without much distress.
Recently, my daughter has been requesting money for social activities. An opportunity arose when my employer announced a contest to draw a safety picture with a prize of $100. My daughter expressed interest in participating and asked for a picture of my workplace.
I arranged for a colleague to take a photo of me standing in front of one of our machines. I then forwarded this to her as requested.
