Kandice Gunter, a 30-year-old mother, has been missing since the morning of October 29, 2026, in Natrona County, Wyoming. Gunter, who stands at 5 feet 7 inches and weighs approximately 185 pounds, has black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen in a gray 2016 GMC Canyon pickup with Wyoming temporary registration.
Authorities discovered her cellphone’s last location was around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, near Highway 387 at the Natrona County line. This information was released by the Casper Police Department. Gunter’s absence became concerning when she failed to pick up her children, aged 9 and 6, from the Boys & Girls Club after-school program, which prompted her sister, Kayla Gunter, to report her missing.
Kayla shared with Cowboy State Daily that her sister’s failure to show up for her children was completely out of character. The sisters spoke last by phone at 10:41 a.m. on Wednesday, a conversation Kayla described as normal. Afterward, Kandice did not respond to calls, and her phone pinged near Gillette around noon Wednesday.
Gunter had recently moved from Nevada to Casper, Wyoming, to be closer to her children. She had been residing with their father and assisting in their care. Despite her disappearance, previous social media posts indicated a focus on personal growth, with messages about success and self-improvement.
As police and family members continue their search, others who know Gunter have expressed concern on social media. A Facebook user, TK Kentopp, shared a heartfelt plea hoping for her safety, recalling 14 years of friendship.
The community is urged to assist in locating Gunter or providing any information regarding her disappearance. Anyone with information can contact the Casper Police Department at 307-235-8278. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Central Wyoming at 307-577-8477 or through crimestopperscasper.org.
