Jenny McCarthy has opened up about her two-year struggle with health issues related to mold exposure. Her experience left her physically drained and emotionally on edge. In a bid to recover, she went as far as living in a tent due to fears of mold in her home.
Beginning of the Nightmare
McCarthy’s ordeal began in 2024 with a simple toothache. That minor issue led to multiple medical problems, including repeated infections and surgeries. She spoke candidly about these challenges during an episode of “The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show.”
“Okay, I have been dying to tell you this story because the last two years of my life have been absolutely fricking insane. Insane, okay?” McCarthy shared with her viewers.
Her troubles started with dental infections and escalated to serious complications. She experienced jawbone damage, recurring eye cysts, facial swelling, severe leg cramps, and more. These symptoms drastically affected her well-being.
The Mold Poisoning Revelation
Despite her many health issues, it took extensive testing to pinpoint mold poisoning as the root cause. McCarthy explained that mold had severely compromised her immune system, exacerbating her symptoms and leaving her heavily fatigued.
In her efforts for recovery, McCarthy noted her shift to living in a tent, revealing it was part of her desperate measures to shield herself from potential mold exposure.
Her doctor had contacted her with grave concerns about mold-related health risks. McCarthy recounted the urgent warning: the mold she had could cross the blood-brain barrier and cause seizures.
Treatment and Ongoing Recovery
After mold poisoning was confirmed, McCarthy embarked on a rigorous treatment regimen aimed at detoxification. Her routine involves daily infrared sauna sessions, multiple vitamins, supplements, nasal sprays, and lymphatic castor oil packs.
The detox process has been ongoing for seven months, and McCarthy still finds herself too paranoid to live in a conventional house. Her heightened sensitivity to mold makes her highly cautious about her environment.
McCarthy candidly discussed the psychological impact of her ordeal, noting how it left her in a state of constant alertness, fearing mold presence everywhere.
“I’m still in the traumatic part. I’m not even in the post part yet because I feel like now everything is mold,” she expressed.
