The New York Yankees are eagerly awaiting the return of their star player, Aaron Judge, who is readjusting to the team’s lineup after being sidelined for three months due to a stress fracture in his right first rib. His comeback is set to commence with the Yankees’ upcoming series against the Colorado Rockies at Yankee Stadium.
Judge’s injury occurred in late May, placing him on the 60-day injured list. Recently, he demonstrated readiness to face live pitching, participating in workouts that involved batting practice and hitting all around the field. The Yankees skipped the traditional minor-league rehab assignment for Judge, emphasizing creative ways to elevate his stamina for a crucial postseason push.
According to Manager Aaron Boone, Judge might participate in games with the Yankees but could be removed before play resumes to full innings. Since receiving clearance for baseball activities in August, Judge has transitioned from hitting off a tee and soft tossing to tackling actual batting practice on the field. His presence was noted in San Diego, accompanying the team on their West Coast road trip, engaging in pre-game batting activity.
Judge has subjected himself to high-velocity pitching machines and completed various outfield and baserunning drills. The goal is to ensure he returns to his pivotal role in right field with full stamina.

Before his injury on June 5, Judge was posting strong statistics, maintaining a .248/.375/.533 batting line. While he was absent, the Yankees achieved a 45-38 record across 83 games. With Judge’s return, the Yankees hope to enhance their offensive performance, complementing their strong pitching staff as the regular season draws to a close.
