The X Division Championship scramble proved to be an electrifying event. Initially announced as a six-man match, the lineup included BDE, KC Navarro, Ryan Nemeth, Fabian Aichner, Rich Swann, and Cedric Alexander. The title vacancy arose when Leon Slater chose Option C, aiming for the TNA World Championship.

Amazing Red, set to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame with fellow inductees Konnan and ODB, surprised attendees with his last-minute entry into the match. His announcement transformed the clash into a seven-man bout, intensifying the competition.

In the ring, Swann and BDE initially dominated, utilizing their teamwork to try and secure a victory. Meanwhile, KC Navarro nearly seized the title with a series of moves, executing the 305 and a Blessing in Disguise on Aichner. However, an unexpected interference by Nemeth pulled the referee out of the ring, disrupting Navarro’s pin attempt.

Upon reentering the ring, Navarro faced off against his idol, Amazing Red. The veteran displayed his prowess, delivering a Spanish Fly and Code Red sequence on Navarro, clinching the win and claiming the X Division Championship.

This victory marked Amazing Red’s fourth reign as X Division Champion, his last occurrence being in September 2010. Historically, few have surpassed his number of reigns, with competitors like Chris Sabin, Austin Aries, Jay Lethal, A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Low Ki, and Frankie Kazarian holding the title more times.

Amazing Red’s achievement underscores his enduring legacy within the TNA Wrestling community.
