Nearly 195,000 heated blankets and pads sold on Amazon have been recalled. Federal safety regulators reported numerous burn injuries related to these products.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated the internal heating elements might overheat. This can create a fire hazard and pose burn risks.
JKMax, the manufacturer, received 577 reports of overheating incidents. Of these, 53 resulted in burn injuries.
The recalled blankets sold between September 2022 and July 2026.
Available in blue, gray, brown, or red, the items are made of polyester. Buyers could purchase them individually or in packs of two.
The affected model numbers include JKMAX-002, JKMAX-7284B, JKMAX-6284B, JKMAX-10090B, and JKMAX-8490B. You can find the number on the heat control remote and product packaging.
Consumers should stop using these products immediately. For a full refund, contact JKMax. The recall number is 26-778.
