Amy Schumer is making the most of the end of summer by flaunting her recent weight loss. The 45-year-old comedian posted several bikini photos on Instagram, displaying her progress in a vibrant two-piece near the water. She appeared relaxed and content in her photos, which she shared with the caption, “I never knew there would be days like this. No filter as per ushe.”
Her friends and fans reacted positively. Actress Kate Walsh praised her, saying, “So beautiful, Amy. Happy and thriving.” Another follower commented, “Gorgeous.”
Schumer has been open about her evolving relationship with her body and health over the past two years, documenting her weight-loss journey’s ups and downs. She shared a photo in October highlighting her transformation. Wearing a tiny black dress at a Paul McCartney concert in Las Vegas, she received admiration from both her friends and followers.
In March 2025, Schumer attributed some of her success to Mounjaro, a medication also known as tirzepatide, which is used primarily for type 2 diabetes. She shared a video with her followers explaining her experience with the medication and her decision to try it. She sought a telehealth meeting and discussed her new routine that includes hormonal treatments to manage her perimenopause symptoms.
Schumer’s journey involved significant trial and error. On “The Howard Stern Show,” she discussed her challenges with medications like Ozempic due to a genetic predisposition to nausea. Despite an initial rapid weight loss of 30 pounds, she realized the approach wasn’t sustainable for her health.
Her openness extends to discussing body image pressures in Hollywood. Schumer often uses humor to address appearance-based comments and encourages focusing on health over unrealistic standards. In February 2024, she revealed her diagnosis of Cushing syndrome, which helped identify underlying health issues. Schumer has also been transparent about her struggles with endometriosis, undergoing a hysterectomy in 2021, and normalizing conversations around women’s health.
