Bodycam footage from Tiger Woods’ March 27 arrest in Jupiter Island, Florida, shows him in a confused state following a rollover accident. Criminal defense attorney Donna Rotunno reviews the video. She points out Woods’ odd claim of talking to the President. Rotunno explains the challenges prosecutors face proving impairment due to the absence of a positive alcohol test.
Tony Romo’s OWI Arrest in Milwaukee
Tony Romo, former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, drew attention for an OWI arrest in Milwaukee as the NFL 2026 season approaches. Romo was reportedly stopped on a highway and failed field sobriety tests, according to FOX6 Milwaukee. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court on September 21.
On the same day as his arrest, Romo played in the final round of the Wisconsin Amateur Championship. Despite his talent as a golfer, Romo finished 35-over par and earned $60. This followed a less-than-ideal performance at the American Century Championship in Nevada.
Tournament Troubles
Romo’s performance in the tournament was notably poor, given his reputation as a strong amateur golfer. The event winner finished at +3, with the cut-line at +15, indicating difficult conditions. Romo’s +35 score was unexpected even for the challenging course.
After shooting a 12-over in the final round, the news of his OWI arrest added to the scrutiny he faced. While drinking and driving is always inappropriate, Romo’s situation highlights the ongoing challenge of managing personal behavior and public perceptions.
