In a recent interview on “CBS Mornings” with co-host Gayle King, Hathaway expressed her surprise over the number of films she worked on this year. She said she was initially concerned that audiences might find it overwhelming. Her latest film, “Verity,” is set to premiere on Friday.
“That’s asking a lot of people to look at you for a long period of time, but then I thought to myself, ‘What if it goes better than you can imagine?’
Reflecting on her career, Hathaway mentioned that she has learned to relax more and enjoy the process. She emphasized the importance of feeling and connection with others, expressing gratitude for learning this lesson.
Embracing Maternity Fashion
Hathaway has also been noticed for her maternity fashion, crediting Rihanna as an inspiration. During her press tours, Hathaway observed Rihanna’s creative maternity style, which encouraged her to be bold and playful with her own choices.
“When I saw what she was doing with her maternity style, I just realized that I needed to use my imagination and go out there and have more fun,” she said.
As Hathaway prepares to welcome her third child with husband Adam Shulman, she expressed her excitement about the upcoming changes in her family. She said they focus on enjoying their time as a family of four before the new addition arrives.
Role in Psychological Thriller “Verity”
In the psychological thriller “Verity,” Hathaway plays Verity Crawford, an author left incapacitated following an accident. The film, based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, required Hathaway to rely heavily on collaboration due to the nature of her character.
“When I knew my job was going to be very still in the frame and I wasn’t going to have the ability to move around and act and work with the audience, collaboration became everything,” she said.
Hathaway mentioned that teamwork was crucial to create the “creepy and eerie” atmosphere required for the film.
