Filming for the third season of the popular series “Landman” is underway. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the show delves into the oil industry in Texas. The first two seasons captivated viewers, and the second season concluded by giving the Norris family a new direction as entrepreneurs.
The second season wrapped up on January 18, 2026, leaving fans eager for news about the third season’s release. While details have been scarce, there’s a significant update at last.
James Jordan, a star on “Landman” and Sheridan’s “Lioness,” recently shared a photo from the set. This confirms that season three production has started. He captioned it, “Up n runnin’ and back after it!”
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that filming is primarily occurring in Fort Worth, Texas. Sheridan often chooses Texas locales for his projects, continuing this trend with “Landman.” The production began in September 2026.
With a lack of extensive special effects, the post-production phase is expected to be brief. Viewers may see the third season as early as spring 2027. In a less favorable scenario, summer 2027 remains a likely release window.
