Arrests Made in Alleged Plot Against UFC Event at White House

Prosecutors announced two more arrests related to an alleged plot targeting a recent Ultimate Fighting Championship event held on the White House lawn. William Lee Spartacus Falkner was detained in Washington state on Friday, while Jordan W. Rincker was apprehended in Missouri on Sunday, as reported by the Department of Justice.

These arrests raise the total number connected to the plot to seven individuals. Although the event did not face any attack or resulted in injuries, federal prosecutors claim the conspirators discussed using drones loaded with explosives over the event, intending to shoot into the crowd as they fled.

Both Falkner and Rincker face charges of conspiracy to commit murder. The Department of Justice revealed that Falkner, who has drone training, allegedly discussed using drones with explosives online. Rincker is accused of accepting $1,200 from another arrested individual to distribute to others involved. Investigations found that Rincker met this man in Omaha, handed over a 12-gauge pump shotgun, and received a ballistic plate, 3D printer, and other items in return.

Authorities discovered additional items at Rincker’s residence and a storage container, including rifles, a 9mm pistol, a 3D-printed Glock-style handgun, a gas mask, a ballistic plate and carrier, and a shield.

Both individuals have been charged via a criminal complaint, differing from a grand jury indictment. Court documents did not indicate whether Falkner or Rincker have entered pleas. A federal public defender representing Falkner did not respond to requests for comment, and no attorney was listed for Rincker as of Monday afternoon.

The UFC event, named UFC Freedom 250, took place on June 14, coinciding with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, in a venue on the White House lawn. It was held to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary. Notable attendees included President Trump, administration officials, and VIP guests like Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg.
