Opinions on whether Mayfield should earn as much as players like Burrow, Allen, and last year’s MVP vary. However, the Bucs see the value in him. Recently, they moved significantly closer to Mayfield’s expectations in negotiations, ensuring the commitment from a quarterback who has thrown 95 touchdown passes in 51 starts for them.
